"Rosemary Device" came alive when four guys from two Cincinnati-based bands met for a jam session. They instantly found what they all had been looking for, musicians with the same drive and passion for an entertaining rock show as well as a unique take on rock music. Brett Scharf (guitar and backing vocals) had been riding the wave of a record deal with Triple Crown Records, touring with bands such as Brand New, Fall Out Boy, Alkaline Trio and Motion City Soundtrack (to name a few). After several line ups that didn’t work out for his former band, Brett realized he needed a front man with a powerful voice and charisma that could light up any stage. He contacted a fellow musician friend by the name of Brandon Migliorisi (whom has shared the stage with acts like Boy Sets Fire, The Format, Breaking Benjamin, Hey Mercedes, Emanuel etc. etc.) and they spoke of new adventures in Rock & Roll. They arranged a get-together to test the waters with members of the band Brandon was previously in. This first session was so successful that they decided to travel to Tampa FL and record a set of demos with Mike Major, who previously worked with Sparta, Coheed and Cambria, As Tall As Lions, At the Drive- In and many others.
